ALLIES, TRAITORS, AND ALIENS
My Other BFG Fleets While I consider my Imperial Navy to be my primary fleet, I've also collected several other fleets from various factions, as well as a few ships that can be used as allies by my IN fleet if need be. These fleets provide an interesting change of pace from the IN, as well as providing me with loaner options for potential opponents who either don't have a fleet yet or do not have their ships with them. More information about these fleets can be found below: TAU The Tau are a young and ambitious race who have some of the most advanced technology to be found anywhere in the 41st millennium. Their fleet is designed to make heavy use of missiles and bombers to overwhelm their opponents. CHAOS The Chaos fleet consists of former Imperial Navy ships whose crews have succumbed to the Ruinous Powers. Many of the ships in the Chaos fleet date from the time of the Horus Heresy nearly 10,000 years ago. While the ships of the Chaos fleet may be of old design, they are nonetheless frightening opponents due to the loss of the technologies used in their construction as well as the "enhancements" made to the ships by the dark gods they now serve. CORSAIR ELDAR
The Eldar a mysterious and ancient race, one of the oldest space-faring civilizations known. When a cataclysm destroyed the once great Eldar empire thousands of years ago, it scattered the survivors across the galaxy. Some of these survivors formed pirate bands to prey on the younger races, and became known as Corsair Eldar. The motivations of the Eldar are impossible for mankind to understand, streching as they do across thousands of years in the past as well as the future. To the Imperium, the Eldar are almost as a force of nature, implacable and utterly unpredictable. SPACE MARINES The Space Marines are genetically and cybernetically enhanced super-humans whose sole reason for existence is the preservation of the Imperium of Man. They are fierce and loyal fighters, and a truy frightening opponent for any who would be foolish enough to stand in their way. Their fleet is optomized for the transport of ground forces and planetary assaults, but it can also hold its own during a fleet engagement either as a component of a lager IN force or as an independent fleet. ADEPTUS MECHANICUS The Adeptus Mechanicus, or AdMech, are the sole guardians and providers of technology to the Imperium. The AdMech revere technology in spiritual terms, seeing in each mechanism great or small a "Machine Spirit" that must be properly attended to if the mechanism is to function properly. From their center of operations on Mars, the AdMech dispatch fleets of vessels to seek out ancient examples of lost technolgy for further study.
