Happiness Factor
Definition: A term used by Naval Academy midshipmen to describe a variable that is derived from the # of days of leave divided by the number of days till leave. This equation is so simple, even the group 3 majors can understand it.
The Happiness Factor Equation:
Definition: As the quantity DTill Leave decreases linearly, the quantity FHappiness (Happiness Factor or HF) increases exponentially, as shown by the chart below. This law is also known as Rucker's HF Acceleration Theorem.
