Demo Day at Eagle & Empire

On Sunday, 25 July 2010, my Professional Local Game Store (PLGS) had a "Demonstration Day," which is an event where the table space in the store is given over to a number of demos for various games. I myself ran demos of two games, Firestorm Armada and Axis & Allies War at Sea. Overall, the event was a great success, attracting a lot of curious customers and having some excellent prize support (including new board games worth $100!). Thanks to Mike at Eagle & Empire for organizing the event. Below are some pictures I took over the course of the afternoon:

Here is my table. As you can see, I had to time-share my space between the two games as there was literally no room for me to set up both at the same time. Just goes to show how many different games were being demonstrated!

This is a WWII game called Command Decision, which has a dedicated group of fans that regularly plays at the store.

Here are some pics of the 40k demo being run by Eric. He had some Marines going head to head with a force of Tyranids. This urban battle was one of the more popular tables, with a lot of people trying their hand at war in the Grim Darkness of the 40th Millennium!

This is a game called Black Powder, which covers 200 years through the American Civil War. It was set up next to me, and looked pretty neat!

Wings of War was probably the most popular game at the event, with a constant flow of players.

This was a game called War Gods, which takes place in antiquity with all sorts of mythical beasts.

Below are some overall pictures of the event:
