Heh, I have gone and done it again...I turn my back
for one minute, and the next thing I know the website has gone without
an update for the better part of 3 weeks! Although, I do have a couple
of semi-valid reasons for it this time around (aside from my own
laziness). First of all, the hard drive on the ol' Lappy gave out on me
a couple of weeks ago, and it took me the better part of a week to get
my rig back to normal more or less. Second, I have finally started to
stand Engineering Duty Officer Under Instruction (EDO U/I) on the boat.
This means that I go on-duty at 0700, spend the night on the boat, and
get relieved about 24 hours later. And naturally, if the next day is a
work day, I am there until close of business. While my U/I watches have
been very instructive, there is no disputing the fact that they have
taken their toll in both my free time and energy.
The update I have today is a set of photos from the
warship battle I participated in way back on 20 May. This is the very
first Washington Cascade Column event I've attended, and it was a lot of
fun. I've been meaning to post these pictures ever since, but I'm just
now getting around to them! |
