Ah, the end of another busy
week! It is kind of crazy how fast time seems to have been flying by
lately. The wedding is only a little more than a month and a half away!
Fortunately, most of the planning and arrangements have been made,
thanks mostly to Gwen's hard work. I've been helping where I can, but
between the geographical separation and my work schedule, much of the
heavy lifting has been left up to her. For my part, I pretty much
have my new uniform ready to go, I just have to pick it up from the
tailor shop at some point. I had a little bit of a misadventure with it,
since the mark on my pants for where they have to hem them was lost,
requiring another trip out to the store to get it re-marked!
Last night, I got a chance to
play a game of Battlefleet Gothic over at Game Empire, which was nice.
It has been quite a while since I got a game in, a couple of months
anyway. It was a small game, only 750 points, with my opponent borrowing
my Chaos fleet and me playing my Imperial Navy. I lost, but it was still
a lot of fun. I might get a chance to play again on Monday, but that
night has typically been reserved for Axis & Allies: War at Sea. I might
be able to do both, but more likely I will have to choose one or the
other. Decisions, decisions...
Today's update is the review of
Eureka 7 that I mentioned last time. This review marks the end of a long
drought for Anime reviews around here; the last time I posted a review
was for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig, nearly a year
ago. This should give you some idea of how much I've come to like this
series!

So much has happened over the
last week and a half, I hardly know where to begin!
First of all, my train trip from
Seattle to San Diego was an absolutely awesome time. I have a bunch of
pics from that trip to post, so keep an eye out for them. I hope to put
them up soon. Next, I finished watching Eureka 7 last weekend. This show
has easily cracked my top three of favorite anime; rarely does a show
get under my skin to the extent that Eureka 7 has! Naturally, this means
that a review of the series will be forthcoming. Finally, all of my
household goods arrived last Monday, and I have been steadily un-packing
ever since. I have been making pretty good headway, with the kitchen,
dining room, living room, and my hobby room pretty much squared away.
The last major chunk I have left to work on are the bedrooms. Once I get
everything unpacked and cleaned up, I'll have to post some pictures so
that you can compare them with the ones I took when I first moved in!
In the meantime, today's update
is a bunch of new stuff for my Warhammer 40k page. I have been meaning
to do this for some time now, and my train trip gave me an opportunity
to work on it some more. I'm especially happy with how my regimental
standard came out!
