I had a busy week, with a lot of
stuff going on for both work and school. Yesterday, I spent some time
cleaning up the car and working on some tanks for my 40k army (which is
starting to look awesome, by the way!). We just got home from a trip
down to the Occoquan craft fair, where we bought a few neat things
including new collars for Vesta and Phoebe. This time, we actually took
Vesta to Occoquan with us. She had a great time , but naturally I am
feeling a bit pooped at the moment!
For today's update, I have some
pictures we took last weekend in New York. Mom wouldn't let me get away
with not posting them!. |

Gwen and I celebrated our first
wedding anniversary today! We celebrated with a trip to New York City,
where we saw Phantom Of the Opera on Broadway. It was a great
experience, and we both really enjoyed the show. Although, I have to
say, Gwen and I felt a bit over-dressed! I wore a suit, and Gwen wore a
nice full-length dress. However, when we were leaving the theater, there
were people rolling out of there in jean shorts and I-heart-NY T-shirts.
Wuh??? Since when did Broadway go all touristy?
It took me much longer to get
around to updating this thing than I had hoped. The last few weeks have
just flown by. My parents came out for a visit in late August, which was
a great time. Then, unfortunately, my wife's grandmother passed away,
and as one might expect there was a lot of matters to attend to
surrounding that. Also, I have started working on my masters degree,
going to school two nights a week. With all of this going on, the
website has kind of been on the bottom of the heap as far as priority
goes! My limited free time has been mainly consumed by modeling and,
yes, Starcraft II. Mmmm...Starcraft...
I have also been reading a very
good book recently, called Shattered Sword: The Untold Story of the
Battle of Midway. It is buy the two guys behind the Combined Fleet
website, which has a lot of really neat info about the Japanese navy
during WW II. I will go into more detail on the book later, but I
heartily recommend it to anyone who has any interest in the battle
whatsoever.
Well, that's it for now. I will
leave you with the feature I promised last time: Pictures of the visit
Gwen and I made to Strasburg, PA! Enjoy. |
